Description

This item is to replace the parking mirror found on top of the passenger side wing (left). It allows a smoother and more aesthetically pleasing profile of the front end of the vehicle once fitted.

Supplied with a M5 insert installed and M5 fastener.

Tools required

Removal of mirror: Small flat screwdriver to remove the plastic cover of the single fastener holding on the mirror. PZ/PH2 screwdriver to remove the fastener.

Installation of blanking cover: Short 1/4″ ratchet with a flex head and a 3mm Allen key bit.

Instructions

Once the mirror is removed, place the blanking cap into the hole that’s now been left in the wing. You will need to press on it so the raised section locates securely into the hole. This stops the part from rotating once installed. You will see an open area at the top of the inner wing area. Place a towel or similar over the area as if this is left open you have a risk of dropping the fastener or tool down into the inner wing area and it’s hard to retrieve. Use the supplied M5 fastener to secure the part from below. Do not over tighten as you will risk pulling the insert out from the part. If this happens, use a soldering iron vertically on the insert to heat it up and press it back into place.
